Would you like to know more about the Christian journey? Come and explore the faith in one of our discussion groups. We will be exploring HOW to study the Bible. Topics relevant to your life will be discussed. There will be a time to learn the Christian spiritual disciplines. These are some of the areas of exploration for adults. Youth exploration happens during our Children's Church and our Sunday afternoon youth gatherings. Check it out!

Another year, another day of fun! Roughly 300 people enjoyed free games, prizes, and food! Enjoy the pictures!

Hayride 2015 Whiteout!

The annual Hayride at Moore Farm started out bright and sunny. We had the hotdogs, chili, cookies and hot cocoa. We had the people--with our kids from the after school program, Youth Alternatives in Oil City, and the Youth group, the total of kids and adults was over 40 people. It was a beautiful...if a bit cool and windy...fall day.

But the mountain was angry that day my friends. Resentful of our laughter and all the wonderful baked goods...he hit us with snow showers so thick you couldn't see the hills around us. We had to beat a hasty retreat off the mountain.

Of course, it is Western Pennsylvania where the weather can change in an instant. Up on the mountain it was snow...in the valley it was miserable rain. While we make fun of nature's fury--we can't help but thank God for bringing us together. Despite the harshness of the weather, we came back to the church to dry out and continue the day of fun. We brought our waterlogged food into the Fellowship Hall and took off our waterlogged shoes to dry out. Then we proceeded to enjoy our hotdogs and cookies and hot cocoa. Instead of riding in the hay...we played games. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Everyone Agrees--Street Carnival 2015 is, "The Best Day Ever!"

This year's Carnival was bigger than ever. We estimate around 350 people came through the event. Attendance was slow when the carnival started at 10am, but it picked up quickly. Everyone remarked how wonderful it is that a church would do something like a carnival for the community. The workers all had tons of fun! When time allowed they were playing games, shooting hoops, and squirting each other with water. But the real joy of the day was in the faces of the kids. They were laughing and several remarked, "This is the best day ever!" We do the event to say to our community, "Christ loves you" in a non-threatening, non-judgmental way. Hayride 2014

This year's hayride was a blast! We had around 60 people there. For the first time, our friends from Youth Alternatives participated. There was hot dogs, hot chocolate, and plenty of desserts. Pumpkins were painted and carved. Footballs were thrown. This year we did a "Secret Word" scavenger hunt. Unfortunately, our pumpkin' chunkin' device malfunctioned. No matter! Instead of throwing them we smashed them! It was a fun and exciting day for all. Below are just a few pics. Enjoy!

2014 Street Carnival

This year's street carnival went off without a hitch! Well...it did rain. We had to move everything inside. But our theme quickly became, "This is the day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Even though it rained, we still had around 100 people come to rejoice in the Lord with us! It was wonderful to hear how much the carnival meant to the children and the adults. There was so much laughter and joy, and folks got to see Christians practicing what we preach. We were welcoming, accepting, and generous--reflecting our Savior. Praise be to Christ our Lord!
