After-School Activities

During the school year, YA also provides fun, after school activities for youth. Options may include video games, board games, ping pong, pool, foosball, crafts, bingo, fishing, structured and un-structured outdoor games, skating and movie outings. Many of the activities are learning based and incorporate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Some examples of past STEM activities include taking apart and reassembling a computer, engineering boats, creating glow-in-the dark slime and constructing mini-catapults.

Offering one-on-one homework assistance and a warm nutritious meal from 3:30pm to 4:30pm throughout the school year.

Summer Activities 

During the summer, YA provides a nutritious meal each day while students are on summer vacation. This meal is served from 1:00pm-2:00pm.  In addition to this and other normal activities YA provides exciting activities for the youth of Venango County to participate in. This can include swimming, movie day, bowling, bake-offs, picnics and various other outings.  Before school starts, YA takes an overnight educational trip. Past trips have included Washington-DC, Philadelphia, Gettysburg and Cleveland. Each year the destination changes and includes many thrilling educational activities for the youth.
