A Sense of Community
A a church family, we participate in Light Up Night festivities for many reasons. First, we are called by Christ to love our neighbor as ourselves. Part of that is sharing in the life of the community--in its struggles and its joys. Second, sharing this night with people from all religious backgrounds and all walks of life helps define us as servants of Christ. And finally, by taking part in the ways we do, we share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a pragmatic way. People can see for themselves how vital Christ is in our lives. At First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, we are not content to sit on our faith and talk about it. On a good day--the gospel of Jesus Christ will be seen in what we do.
